While the city may be known for it’s fresh seafood, Port Aransas also boasts some seriously good pizza options. There are a handful of local pizza hotspots that feature a variety of pies to suit every taste.

If you’re in the mood for a quick, family-friendly meal with lots of ready-made options, then stop in at Pizzeria Port A and fill your belly. It’s a spacious restaurant that’s great for families, very kid-friendly, and an ideal restaurant for large groups.

While the pizza buffet is a big draw, many don’t realize that Pizzeria Port A offers a full menu of specialty pizzas, Italian pasta dishes, sub sandwiches, and an always-fresh salad bar. Oh, and did I mention the cinnamon pizza? Yes, and it’s good.

What to Order

The Pizzeria offers a constantly rotating variety of pizzas on their buffet, including favorites like pepperoni and beef, supreme veggie and classic cheese. They do take requests and replenish pizzas fairly quickly.

Also on the buffet is soup, pasta, garlic bread, and there’s a separate fresh salad bar (that’s always my first stop).

If you’re looking for gluten-free options, you’ll be excited to know they offer gluten-free pizza, soup and desserts. They’ll even do GF pizza on the buffet by request, so don’t hesitate to ask.

What not to miss

After you have your fill of pizza, be sure to save room for the soft-serve ice cream or one of my favorites, the delicious cinnamon pizza. They also have cold bottled beer and several beers on tap.

But the true winner not to be missed (for the families with children) is the enclosed game room for kids. They have a variety of video games for all ages, as well as air hockey, to enjoy while the parents finish their meal in the main dining area. #winning
